由Westpac集團設立的四個基金會已向超過85個社會企業和社區組織提供了超過500萬澳元的資助。

Westpac、St.George、BankSA 和 Bank of Melbourne 基金會的資助項目重點支持那些面臨困境的人群，通過與提供教育、福祉和就業機會的組織合作來幫助他們。

Westpac Foundation 的首席執行官 Amy Lyden 表示，35%的“包容性就業”和“繁榮社區”資助項目的受助者來自偏遠或地區社區。她表示：“我們一直非常重視對地區的投資。我們不斷看到大城市以外的失業率不成比例，而面臨困境的人更有可能在這一統計數據中被代表。我們希望與偏遠地區的社會企業建立長期合作關系，縮小差距。”

四個資助項目的資助金額從50,000澳元到300,000澳元不等，提供一次性或多年資助，支持的組織包括原住民和托雷斯海峽島民、來自文化和語言多樣背景（包括難民）、殘疾人士以及低社會經濟地位地區的人群等優先群體。

CommUnity Construction 是獲得85項資助之一的社會企業，致力於幫助難民在建築行業獲得就業機會。

由Westpac社會變革學者Hedayat Osyan於2018年創立的CommUnity Construction將利用兩年內獲得的50,000澳元包容性就業資助填補關鍵的營銷崗位，以吸引新合同並擴大其影響力。

Osyan 表示：“我們非常激動和感激能夠在這一關鍵時期獲得包容性就業資助。我們瞭解許多面臨困境的人所面臨的巨大挑戰，包括生活成本的壓力和缺乏穩定的工作機會。這筆資助將為我們提供重要的培訓，幫助這些脆弱群體。”

這些基金會共同致力於為那些面臨復雜就業障礙的人創造工作和培訓機會，並提供教育和福祉機會，幫助年輕人茁壯成長。

St.George基金會的首席執行官 Sally-Anne O’Brien 說：“我們致力於支持創新的解決方案，擴大教育機會、提高參與度，並改善面臨巨大挑戰的兒童和青少年的學習成果，因為我們相信每個孩子都應有機會茁壯成長，充分發揮潛力。”

除了資金支持，所有資助受益者還可以獲得非財務支持。支持計劃包括Westpac員工志願者的技能支持、影響力衡量支持以及同行指導計劃。

在這一最新的資助輪次後，四大基金會與Westpac學者信托基金——該基金每年頒發100個獎學金——在過去十年裡已累計投資近1億澳元，用於創造就業機會、培養下一代領導者和幫助年輕人。
